Level 2 takes students’ shop skills to the next level by introducing professional-grade tools, more challenging projects, and opportunities to build on the skills learned in Level 1. As students combine different disciplines and explore how materials and technology work together, they gain confidence creating complex, functional, and rewarding projects that prepare them for Level 3.

Level 2 Overview
The Urban Workshop Level 2 program builds on foundational skills by introducing students to power tools, machine operation, welding, jewelry making, 3D design, electronics, and manufacturing processes. Students complete hands-on projects including rebuilding a 4-cycle engine, creating a soldered copper necklace, welding a custom nametag, building an LED sign, crafting a wooden keepsake box, and designing, molding, casting, and packaging their own toy. The program develops technical skills, creative thinking, and confidence with more advanced tools and fabrication techniques, preparing students for the increasingly complex projects and equipment introduced in Levels 3–4.

Please note: When enrolling online, make sure to create the profile using the student’s name and personal information. You can use your own email address to receive confirmation and updates throughout the semester.

Safety: Closed-toed shoes are mandatory. Pants and shirts that cover your shoulders are required.
