Level 2 – Spring 2025 enrollment is open!
Classes start Monday January 27, 2025
The Level 2 program is where these shop classes start to get real! Students are introduced to full size professional tools as the projects get more challenging and build upon the skills learned in level 1. Confidence comes with combining disciplines to make projects that are functionally more challenging and rewarding to make. Students will start to learn to think about how materials and technology work together to make complex projects that work together and look amazing. They will proud of the projects they make as they look forward to level 3.
This program will introduce Arduino programming, DC circuits / breadboards, metal working and welding while building upon essential CAD design skills and wood shop experience.
Participants will learn to use the following tools and software: intermediate hand and powered hand tools, wood working power tools, Arduino UNO programming, DC circuits and breadboards, OnShape CAD assembly and blueprint creation, sheet metal fabrication, MIG welding, Adobe Illustrator and the Roland vinyl cutter.
