This is a beginning TIG Welding course designed for the student who has little-to-no experience welding with the GTAW process on low-carbon, sheet, and steel.
Recommended for:
Material: Carbon Steel, SS, Aluminum
Duration: 56 Hours, (14) 4-hour sessions
Price: $7,499
Pre-Pipe is a training course that builds essential skills for welding 2-inch stainless pipe using the GTAW process, preparing students for the ASME Section IX performance qualification (test not included). The course bridges plate and pipe welding, with practice in 6G position using E6010 and E7018 electrodes. Students also learn to read WPSs, understand ASME code requirements, and apply proper fit-up, heat control, and defect prevention techniques. NO test included with this course.
Application: This course is for individuals who have some stick welding experience and wish to get additional training prior to taking ASME Section 9 pipe using GTAW.
Course Duration: 40 hours, (10) 4-hour sessions. NO test included with this course.
Price: $6,499
AWS517B GTAW D17.1: Aerospace Fusion - Stainless Steel
This advanced hands-on course prepares welders for AWS D17.1 performance qualification using the GTAW/TIG process for aerospace applications. AWS591A GTAW D9.1: Sheet Metal - Carbon Steel
This hands-on welder test prep course is designed to train and qualify welders to the AWS D9.1: Sheet Metal Welding Code, using the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG) process. The AWS D9.1 standard governs welding practices for thin-gauge sheet metal (typically 1/8″ or thinner), widely used in HVAC, architectural metals, appliance manufacturing, light structural fabrication, and artistic metalwork.
The course focuses on the precision, arc control, and heat management necessary to perform high-quality welds on carbon steel. Students will practice fillet and groove welds on common sheet metal joints—lap, corner, butt, and edge—in multiple positions including flat, horizontal, and vertical.
Application: Sheet Metal TIG Welder, HVAC System Fabricator, Precision Sheet Metal Fabricator, Architectural TIG Welder – Stainless Steel, Decorative and Custom Metalworker, and more!
Course Duration: 48 hours, (12) 4-hour sessions
Price: $6,499
